Fishbowl EOQ

Direct answer

Fishbowl Inventory does not natively solve Wilson Q*. The Part record exposes Reorder Point and Order Up To Level fields; the difference between them is the effective order quantity per cycle. Most Fishbowl shops compute Q* outside the app (in a spreadsheet or here) then set Order Up To Level = Reorder Point + Q*. The Reorder Point Wizard helps with ROP but stops short of Q*.

Where the EOQ-adjacent fields live

The buyer’s job: paste Q* in

Compute Q* = sqrt(2DS/H) externally. Set Reorder Point to lead-time demand plus safety stock. Set Order Up To Level to Reorder Point + Q*. Fishbowl will then auto-PO Q* units each time stock crosses ROP, which reproduces Wilson’s sawtooth behaviour. If the supplier MOQ binds above Q*, set Order Up To Level to Reorder Point + MOQ and document the over-order penalty on the PO notes.

Pricing reality

Essentials at $229 per month billed annually (2 users, inventory tracking, item and SKU management, cycle counts). Fishbowl moved from its legacy perpetual-license plus single-user hosted model to a tiered SaaS line-up. Essentials is now $229 per month billed annually, Growth $429, Scale $729, plus AI Manufacturing add-ons and a quote-only Advanced tier (Advanced Manufacturing starts at $675, Advanced Warehouse at $595, both confirmed by quote).
